Dirk Myers, son of the late Darrell Eugene and Odessia (Barton) Myers was born September 11, 1954 in Bismark, Missouri. He departed this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 7, 2019 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with his family by his side. Dirk had attained the age of sixty-four years.
On February 3, 1973 Dirk was united in marriage to Janice Chadbourne in Lesterville, Missouri. To this union three children were born.
Dirk worked as a Quarry Supervisor at Buzzi Unicem in Festus, Missouri and was an ordained Baptist minister. He first became ordained on May 15, 1983 and since that day he pastored in several area churches. He currently pastored at the Fellowship Baptist church until the Lord called him home. He loved nothing more than to share the message of Jesus with others. He enjoyed antiquing, beekeeping, working on his old cars, hunting, relaxing at the cabin but the most cherished times were those spent with his family.
Dirk is preceded in death by his father and mother.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-six years, Janice Myers of Farmington, Missouri; one son Dustin Myers and wife Shawna of Lesterville, Missouri; two daughters, Dirika Parker, husband Gary of Farmington, Missouri and Danielle Lacava, husband Jeremy of Farmington, Missouri; one brother, Randell Myers and wife Susan of Oates, Missouri; one sister, Rinda Johnson and husband Lingell of Lesterville, Missouri; twelve grandchildren, Destinee Speer (Christian), Devin Nagel, Andrew Parker, Jaycie Nagel, Eli Parker, Gracen Myers, Alliyah Myers, Molly Myers, Rielle Lacava, Raylin Lacava, Raena Lacava, and Renleigh Lacava; one great granddaughter on the way, Maryn; along with a host of other relatives, friends and church family left to mourn his passing.
