Diane Louise Buechler-Frye beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend peacefully departed this world surrounded by family on January 4, 2025 in her hometown of Plattsmouth, Nebraska.
Diane was the cherished daughter of Robert and Marjorie Frye born on August 7, 1958 in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
She leaves behind her devoting and loving son, Jerry Buechler II, his wife Meranda and her chihuahua companion Tiny Boy. Diane was a proud and caring grandmother leaving behind three adoring grandchildren, Jacob, Journey and Riley, her loving brother, two sisters, niece and nephews.
Diane attended Plattsmouth High School and graduated in 1977. She was a friend to many in her time in school and had a passion for learning and friendship which she continued throughout her life.
Diane was a kind and compassionate soul who always put others before herself. She was known for her selflessness and unwavering love for her Family. Her infectious smile and beautiful caring heart touched the lives of everyone she met.
Despite battling cancer, Diane remained strong and courageous until the very end. She faced each challenge with grace and resilience, inspiring all who knew her.
Diane's legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
May she rest in peace, reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her. Our world is a little dimmer without her light, but her spirit will shine brightly in our memories forever.

Diane is no longer suffering, she is at peace.
She and I grew up together. We we’re family, always together. We went to school, events, shared first memories, did do some Shenanigans we did and didn’t get in trouble for. LOL❣️ I spent a lot of time at her house, her Mom and Dad (Leon) Mink treated me as another daughter. Great memories made
with her siblings, Lori, Chrissy, Randy, Diane’s baby Brother she’d say❣️
Leon the Jokester and Marjorie his accomplice, always had me on my toes❣️
I remember the time I was invited to eat supper with them. I asked what we we’re having and Leon pointed to the table and said; Tongue❣️
Needless to say, they all laughed at me for Gagging on the thought of eating it😩
Diane’s laugh and smile I will also cherish, she was my Bestie‼️
My heart goes out to her family. ❤️🫂🙏

My thoughts and prayers are with you! Sending hugs and love!
Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go.
