Father, Husband, Son, Student to Teacher of many trades
Dewayne Kimball Ashcraft, 29, of Dubois, Idaho, passed on July 18, 2023 after a car wreck in Aberdeen Idaho. Kimball was born on March 04, 1994 in Idaho Falls, Idaho with his birth mother Ariane Thomas McCabe, he was adopted and raised by Garth Ashcraft and Nancy Bruno in Dubois Idaho & Chesapeake Virginia. Kimball was also reunited with his birth family from Driggs, Idaho at 18 years old and lived a beautiful mix of having family whether you were blood or not. Being around Kimball meant you were surrounded with laughter, happiness, compassion and love and lots of sarcasm! Kimball was an extremely hard worker with a work ethic you don't often see in someone his age. He felt blessed that he was able to spend his life doing what he loved; farming, teaching and making everyone laugh. Kimball started from a very young age on the family farm, then as a small town farmhand in Dubois and worked his way up to spending this last year as a Farm Manager on a large farm operation in American Falls. Kimball's family was beyond proud of how far he had come and how all he wanted to do was teach and help others grow and achieve their goals and better themselves. He was a quick learner and a patient teacher who touched so many lives and put a fire in so many bellies and so many smiles. Kimball never shied away from a challenge. He always wanted everyone to know there is no wrong answer when you tried, and you will experience no success without the failure and to never hold a grudge or hold onto the past if it doesn't support your future. Kimball was an amazing father and husband who fulfilled all his duties and fiercely and whole heartedly loved his wife Krista and their 2 year old daughter. He worked so hard every day to make sure they never wanted or went without. Kimball was ecstatic to find out a few weeks before his accident that his wife, Krista, was pregnant with their second child. Kimball is going to be terribly missed by so many people from all walks of life and from border to border. We know he will continue to do what he does best and that's to help people and change lives and continue to make his loved ones smile. Kimball's wishes were to not have a traditional funeral. There will be a "Celebration of his Life" to be announced at a later date. There is a Facebook group sharing info of location and date and what the celebration will consist of it will be "Kimball Ashcraft's Celebration of his Life" https://www.facebook.com/groups/633029432129342/
