Deverick DeShawn Matthis “ The Lord’s gift” to Elaine Matthis-Bauchman and Author Jackson was born November 7th 1972 in Dallas, Texas. He is the Youngest of two children. In 1972 they would then move to Compton California where he attended George Washington, Willowbrook and Compton High.
Deverick accepted Christ and was baptised at an early age at Figueroa Church of Christ. Deverick grew up to become a successful entrepreneur. Deverick hobbies were cars, motorcycles and women!
Deverick loved life! He loved to travel! He gave gifts and money.
He leaves to cherish his mother Elaine Matthis-Bauchman, his dad Author Jackson , sister Mia Matthis, daughters Ashae, Ashli, Deveriana and Tae lyr Matthis. 1 granddaughter Harlei Redmond, his nephews and nieces Brandon, Randon and Brandie Duckett, Khalid, Kamaury and Karrington Washington, great nieces and nephews Brandon, Jacob, Kaiden Duckett, Karson Kelly, Khloe Kelly, Lyric and Kayla Duckett. Ex-wife and Friend Shontrice James, The mother of his Children Donicka, Stephanie, Tiffany, Darshay.and a host of Cousins and Friends.
