It is with great sadness that the Rudd family announces the death of Derrick Rudd, age 45, due to gun violence on 10/31/2019 while trick-or-treating with his family. 

Derrick was born Febraury 23, 1974, in Oxford, Mississippi, to Clarence and Frances Rudd. 

His loving nature, kind heart, and protective spirit will be missed and forever cherished. 

At the family's request, a private memrial service will be held.

There will be a vigil at the family church, Pilgrim's Rest Church, 2727 Cotton Plant Road, Batesville, MS, on 11/02/2019 AT 6:00 pm to celebrate and remeber Derrik's life. All are welcome. 

Derrik is survived by: his beautiful daughter Destiny, his older siblings, Tisa, Dwayne, and Darryl, his mother, Frances, and father, Clarence, his beautiful nieces, Darrian, Myah, Mila, and Kyla, and his nephews, Tyler, Colon , DJ, Corey, and Julian.
