We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Deontae Perkins, who was born on August 19, 2001, in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Deontae tragically passed away on September 21, 2025, at the young age of 24.

Deontae was the beloved child of Keith Perkins and Tranisha Julian. He leaves behind his unborn son, Daniel Perkins, whom he and his partner, Xochitl Guardado, were eagerly awaiting. He is also survived by his loving sisters, Kamille Perkins and Kennedy Perkins, who will forever cherish his memory.

Deontae was a vibrant soul who brought light and laughter to those around him. He found joy in basketball, cooking, and DJing, passions that reflected his creativity, determination, and love for sharing happiness with others.

His life was tragically cut short by a senseless act of violence, but the impact he made during his 24 years will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His smile, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Deontae’s life on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Fellowship Baptist Church. Together, we will honor his legacy of love, strength, and joy.

Deontae will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
