Dennis A. GodinAge: 75Dennis A. Godin (75) passed away on May 9th at the University of VT Medical Center with his loving family by his side due to COPD and complications with pneumonia. Dennis was born on 11-14-41 to Henry & Hilda Godin of Montgomery VT. Dennis enlisted in the US Air Force in 1959. On returning home from active duty, he was employed by the Burlington Police Department from 1963-1981 as a detective, an undercover drug officer and also a bomb specialist. In 1981, he went into Air National Guard Civil Service as a jet engine mechanic until his retirement. Dennis was an avid hunter and enjoyed skiing, fishing, and golfing. He was always happiest outdoors. Dennis is survived by his wife Sheila Kush Godin, his children Tina Godin of Milton VT, Paul Godin (wife Judy) of Alaska, and Lisa Russell (husband Mark) of Milton VT, grandchildren Erin and Joshua Godin of Alaska, Courtney Russell of Alabama, brother Brent Godin of Montgomery VT, step-children Tim Kush (wife Janeen) of NY, Jason Kush (wife Sheri) of Essex VT, step grandchildren Phoebe and Paige Kush. Dennis is also survived by the mother of his children Paulette Cooke of Florida. Dennis was a life member of the VFW Post 6689 (Essex Jct.) & American Legion Post 100 (Colchester).
