Denise Marie Jacques, 59, of Tawas City passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 27, 2013 in the comfort of her home.The daughter of James L. and Margy M. Hearl, Denise was born on Feb. 21, 1954 in Flint.Denise was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother who will be remembered for her generous and kind nature, her loyal friendships and her unfailing commitment to supporting those she loved. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Denise married her husband, Jack, in 1978. She then devoted herself to raising their two sons and creating a warm and nurturing home for her family. Her caring spirit not only extended to her family, but also to the children she worked with at Tawas Area High School as a teacher's assistant. In her retirement, Denise and her husband have been enjoying spending time in Venice, Fla. where she served as president of the Bird Bay Community Board and Phase 1. Along with her volunteer work, Denise was actively involved with her children and grandchildren, whom she cherished and loved.Best known for her dedication to her family, Denise is survived by her husband of 35 years, John "Jack" H. Jacques of Tawas City; her two sons, John M. Jacques of Tawas City and Edward J. Jacques along with her daughter-in-law, Celeste; and her four grandchildren: Liberty, Drake, Donovan and Chloe of Woodbridge, Va.; her mother, Margy M. Hearl of East Tawas; and her brother, Michael C. Hearl and his wife, Anita of Seattle Wash.; along with many nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass is at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3 at Holy Family Catholic Church in East Tawas. Denise will lie instate at the church at 10 a.m. There is a lunch following the service.
