Demetrice Whitney, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 54. Demetrice was born on February 8, 1971 to his loving father William Brown (deceased) and mother Mae Whitney.

Demetrice attended Job Corp. Business School in Cleveland, OH. He also attended Shaw High where he was on the wrestling team. Demetrice loved art and created many amazing drawings in which then turned into tattoos. He has done beautiful art work on many of his friends and family. Meachy was born a twin to Deon Whitney in which growing up the two were nicknamed “Twin”. Twin was a master at video games, he could play and beat just about any game or game system. A skill that he has passed on to all of his children. He also passes on the ability to dance like no other he loved dancing and music. Meachy was very loving and caring. He would give anything he had to anyone even the shirt off of his back. He loved his family and his animals. His infectious laugh and beautiful smile could melt the coldest of hearts and warm any room. Demetrice will be truly missed.

Demetrice is survived by his four children and two grandchildren Kellie Brown (daughter), Demetrice Whitney Jr.(son), Alize' Whitney (son), Charles Whitney (son), & Zyhere Crawford (grandson) Ka'marii Brown (granddaughter), whom will carry on his legacy. As well as a host of siblings, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Demetrice will be remembered for his creativity, kindness, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
