Delores CookDelores Mardella Cook was born on February 4, 1922 in Gilmore City, Iowa to Simon and Francis (Dreschler) Kipfer. She was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Gilmore City and later confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Fenton, Iowa. She received her education from Fenton Public School in Iowa. After graduation, Delores and her family moved to Bingham Lake where she lived until moving to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1970.On October 24, 1970, Delores was united in marriage to Lee Cook. Delores worked as a sales associate at Younkers and Macy's and later at Hy-Vee in the bakery and Sam's Club as a Food Demonstrator. Lee passed away on April 14, 2016.Delores passed away at her home in Sioux Falls on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the age of 95. Delores was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining people, traveling and visiting with people. She is survived by her son, Gregory Schulte of Sioux Falls, SD.She is preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Schulte and Lee Cook; son, Douglas Schulte; seven brothers, Loren, Marion, Marlin, Vernon, Roger, Bill and Gary Kipfer; and one sister, Caroline Capesius. A private family burial will take place in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Windom, MN.
