Della M. NolanZANESVILLE: Della M. Nolan, 90 of Zanesville died at 11:48 PM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the Genesis Health Care following a sudden unexpected illness.She was born on October 9, 1925 in Bloomfield, OH the daughter of Daniel "D.W." Blackstone and Jessie Leo (Jerles) Blackstone.Della was a member of First Baptist Church of Zanesville and self-employed in the health care industry. She enjoyed square dancing, instructing line dancing and was an avid Euchre player. She was a member of the Red Hatters of Zanesville, a life member of the
VFW, American Legion & the Eagles. Della also taught Sunday School for over 15 years and was the first lady Taxi Cab Driver in Zanesville in the late 60's. She is survived by her five Children: Connie (Steve) Embrey of Nashport, Steve (Linda) Nolan of West Lafayett, Sandy Crawford of Zanesville, Debbie Wickham of Zanesville, Randy Nolan of Frazeysburg; 29 Grandchildren, 68 Great Grandchildren, 34 great great grandchildren; a brother Dick (Evelyn) Blackstone of Oregonia; numerous nieces & nephews. Della was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her husband, Charles Leo Nolan on December 3, 1987; two sons, William Thomas "Billy" Blackstone and Tim Nolan; Eight brothers & sisters, Ray, Vince, John Blackstone; Violet Smith, Verna McNeal, Dorothy Cohen, Jessie Freeman and infant Peggy Lou Blackstone.Friends may call 4 to 7 pm on Friday, April 22, 2016 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2016 with Pastor Joe Seese officiating. Burial will conclude at the Bloomfield Cemetery, New Concord Ohio.The Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. Zanesville is in charge of the arrangements.
