Debbie Kennedy, 92, of New Albany, Indiana, passed on April 28, 2023. She passed at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital. She was born on April 11th, 1931, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Ray and Sybil Lambert. Meeting her husband Roger at the age of 23 they embarked on a marriage that spanned 69 years full of adventures, with unwavering love and deep devotion to one another. Debbie spent much of her professional life as a residential real estate property manager in and around Louisville and Southern Indiana. Most recently she was employed as an administrative assistant at a Hospital in Downtown Louisville. The simplicity of the beautiful life Debbie lived was full of infinite love, compassion, protection, and deep commitment to those she loved. This will be her greatest legacy.
Debbie is remembered with eternal love by Roger Keith Kennedy, her husband, James Kennedy her son and her granddaughter Amy, as well as her three great-grandchildren: Caleb, Zadie, and Beckett. Who all will fondly carry the fun-loving memories and traditions of their "Granny Dee" with them throughout their lives.
Debbie chose cremation as her final disposition. Per her wishes, no funeral or formal memorial services will be held. A celebration of her life beautifully lived has been recognized by her loved ones as she requested. The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made in the form of contributions to Habitat for Humanity in her honor, as she had boundless compassion for underserved children and families.
