As long as life & memory last, We will remember thee!
David Wayne Thomas was born on August 28, 1950, to George Calvin and Jessie Millicent Earle Thomas in Chesapeake, Massachusetts. He was the oldest of five children born to this couple.
Raised as a military brat, he had the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the US and abroad with his family. Until his father retired from the Air Force in 1962 and built a home here in Sun Village.
Dawayne himself went into the Air Force where he met Patricia Jean Smith whom he married and had one son, David Wayne Thomas II.
He returned to California and settled in Los Angeles where he worked for the Department of Water and Power until he retired and moved to Lancaster.
He leaves to cherish his memory four siblings: George, Denise, Deborah, and Alex. His nephews and nieces: George Jr, Calvin, Demitrius, Travion, Shanta, Shanee, Sharnea, Alex Jr, Christian, Alexiyah. He has many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and a host of friends who became family along the way.
Dawayne loved life and parties. All who became acquainted with him shared in his zest for living and his compassion for fellow man.
We love you Dewayne (David Wayne) and will miss you always!
