David (Dave) Rutledge, 69, of Euless, Texas, passed Monday, September 09, 2019.
David was born to Leon and Jean Rutledge on July 27, 1950. He graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1968, after which he resided in and around Euless, Texas.
David is preceded in death by his nephew, Michael, his father, Leon, and his son, David Jr.
David is survived by his children: Rhonda Rutledge, Jayme Rutledge, Tiffany Drane (John Drane), and Matthew Rutledge; and his Grandsons: Brennan, Dawson, and Rourke. He also is survived by his mother Jean, his siblings: Lonna, Theresa, Mike, and Paul, and many nieces and nephews.
David was a caring father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, and coach to many. He was a lover of all sports, except soccer. He was a dedicated baseball coach for his children, and countless others. As a young man, he enjoyed working on cars, until he HAD to work on cars. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to baseball games, and the occasional cold beer. He was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, or anything anyone needed, whether they liked it or not. He was a truly selfless man who will be dearly missed by many.
The funeral service will be held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bedford, TX at 10:00am, Thursday September 19, 2019, followed by a graveside service at approximately 11:30am, at Bear Creek Cemetary in Euless, Texas. A reception, celebrating David's life will be held after the graveside service.
