We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved David Hoien, who was born on May 14, 1972, and passed away on November 5, 2025, in Wilson, Kansas, United States.

David was the loving son of Butch and Debbie Hoien, and the devoted partner of Kristy Hoien. He was the proud father of Tristan Hoien and a cherished grandfather of two grandchildren.

David attended Wilson High School, where he graduated in 1990. He went on to work in the oil field industry, where he found fulfillment and success.

Outside of work, David had a passion for fishing. He could often be found casting his line into the water, enjoying the peace and tranquility that the sport brought him.

David's passing is a great loss to all who knew him. His infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed.

Tragically, David's life was cut short by suicide. Our hearts are heavy with the weight of his absence, but we take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

David Hoien will be remembered as a dedicated father, a loving partner, a loyal friend, and a hardworking man. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
