David Lee HintonLAURELVILLE: David Lee Hinton (Dave), age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 with his family by his side. Dave was born on October 22, 1940, in Ross County to parents Curtis David and Ruth Ann (Hertenstein) Hinton who were lifelong residents and farmers in the Laurelville area. Dave graduated from Laurelville High School in 1958 and then attended Ohio State Barber College. He married the love of his live Sue Ann Weaver in 1962. They shared 55 years together. Dave was the local barber in Laurelville for 57 years. He was also an avid horseman and was an icon in the barrel racing industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Joyce Ann (Egan), mother and father in-law Howard E. and Mary Mae Weaver, and son-in-law Dwayne Tatman (Kim). Dave is survived by his wife Sue Ann, daughters Darma (Brian) Taimuty of Venetia, PA and Kim Tatman of Kingston, grandchildren Jenna Taimuty, Alaina Taimuty and Brody Tatman, brother-in-law Roger (Norma) Egan, niece Cindy (Mike) Anderson, and nephew Steve (Vicky) Egan. He was also great uncle and great-great uncle to thirteen nieces and nephews. Dave loved the community of Laurelville, Logan Elm Basketball, the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State. He loved to tell and hear stories and could tell jokes like no other. But what he loved most of all was spending time with family and friends. Dave was truly one of a kind. Friends may call on Friday, September 29th from noon to 8:00 pm and on Saturday September 30th from 11:00-1:00 pm at Wellman's Funeral Home in Laurelville, Ohio.
