RACINE - David Arthur Fox, 65, passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Dave was a lifelong resident of Racine, born on March 20, 1947 the son of late Arthur and Evelyn (nee: Harmon) Fox. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1965”. Dave enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict serving from 1965 until his honorable discharge on March 12, 1969. He was united in marriage to Linda Christensen in Racine on November 14, 1970 at Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Dave was employed at Warren Industries as Human Resources Director. He served on the Board of Safe Haven for 19 years and with United Way Caring for Kids for several years and was a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church. Dave is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda, children, Jennifer (Mark) Fitzpatrick, Andrew Fox, grandchildren, Ryan “RJ”, Maren and Connor “CJ” Fitzpatrick. He is also survived by siblings, Steven Fox, Susan (Joe) Nosalik, Richard Fox and Donna (Keith) Klawinski, sister-in-law, Cheryl Betchkal and father-in-law, Richard Reitsma. Dave is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Effie Reitsma. A memorial service honoring and celebrating Dave’s life will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Thursday February 28, 2013 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Mark Doidge officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 p.m. until service time.
