David Messer, or as most know him as papaw, passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on November 9, 1948, and lived a full and vibrant life.

David was known for his quick wit and infectious, sarcastic sense of humor. He had a knack for making everyone around him laugh, and his hilarious stories will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

In addition to his gift of gab, David was a dedicated father to his three children, Shawn, Becky, and Dawn. He adored his seven grandchildren and always had a joke or a funny anecdote ready to share with them.

David will be greatly missed by his friends and loved ones, but his memory will live on through the laughter and joy he brought to all who knew him.
