David Hornick, beloved husband, father,passed away on February 15, 2025, in The Villages, Florida at the age of 85. He was born on November 1, 1939, to George Hornick Sr and Frances Allison Hornick in East Liverpool OH
David was proceeded in death by his father George Hornick Senior his mother Frances Allison Hornick, his brother George Hornick Junior, and his sister Norma Jean Hornick Keyser
He has survived by his wife of 62 years and the love of his life, Marlene Gibbs Hornick and his daughter Laura Hornick. He’s also survived by many nieces and nephews sister-in-laws Nancy Hornick Paula Pinney and husband Blaine Pinney
David was married to his loving wife, Marlene Gibbs Hornick, for 62 wonderful years. Together, they raised their daughter Laura Hornick. David was a dedicated father who worked at Hornick Business Forms and retired in 2004.
David attended Bowling Green State University and received a BS in marketing. He went to college on a full baseball scholarship and always had a passion for the sport. We will miss hearing all of his stories upon his graduation. He moved to Bethel Park Pennsylvania where he resided for over 40 years with his wife and daughter and his beloved dog Lola
Dave and Marlene retired and move to the villages in 2011 where he enjoyed much of his days sitting on his lanai looking out over his beautiful backyard with his four dogs Lola Tallulah, Stella and Lucy. They will greatly grieve his loss.
David had many hobbies, including baseball and golf. He cherished spending time with his family, especially attending Catholic Church on a weekly basis with his wife, Marlene, and enjoying brunch together afterwards.
David will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
