Hockenberry, 20, departed this life on the evening of Monday, September 18, 2017.He was born on March 11, 1997, in Port Jervis, NY, a son of Eric T. Hockenberry, Sr. and the late Jamie Sue Morris.Darryl was a 2016 graduate of Shippensburg Area High School and the Franklin County Career and Technology Center. He was currently working as a welder for Johnson Controls in Waynesboro. Previously, Darryl worked at Mussers Mechanical in Mercersburg and Truck Craft in Marion.In his free time, Darryl enjoyed hunting, especially with his friend Devin Mills; fishing; going to the gym; target practice; and playing corn hole. He was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys and could tell you just about anything you wanted to know about the entire team.In addition to his father, Darryl is survived by his paternal grandparents who he was raised by, Robert and Sandra Kendig Hockenberry of Orrstown; his younger brother, Eric T. Hockenberry, Jr. of Orrstown; uncle, Tony Hockenberry of Chambersburg; cousin, Ariel Hockenbery of Chambersburg; and many friends.His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
