Daniel Masaharu ShishidoJanuary 2, 1937 - January 30, 2015Daniel "Danny" Masaharu Shishido died peacefully in his home in Nampa, Idaho on January 30, 2015 at the age of 78. Danny was born on January 2, 1937 on the island of Oahu in Hawaii to Isamu and Kane Shishido. In 1970, Danny moved to San Francisco, where he met Karen, fell in love and married the love of his life. In 1975, they gave birth to their one and only child, Daren. Danny was a loving and dedicated father, coaching Daren's little league baseball team and helping out in his son's Cub Scout troop. In 1985, Danny, Karen and Daren left the big city to settle down in Nyssa, Oregon. Danny helped farm the Saito family business, KLG Farms, until he retired at the age of 62. From 2005 to 2009 he became a smitten grandfather to three beautiful granddaughters. Danny loved fishing, cooking, woodworking and the 49ers. Those who were fortunate enough to know Danny will remember him for his jovial disposition, shining smile, dry sense of humor and endless generosity.Danny is survived by his wife, Karen; son and daughter in-law, Daren and Patricia; granddaughters, Sarah, Hannah and Abby; siblings, Raymond, Ralph, Elaine, Calvin, Laura, Katherine, and Steven. He is preceded in death by his parents, Isamu and Kane. We love you Danny, Dad, Uncle and Grandpa! See you soon!No services will be held.
