We are saddened to announce the passing of Daniel Hamlett Sr., born on September 20, 1961, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He passed away on June 2, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Daniel was the beloved son of Daniel Hamlett and Betty Mae Redd-Hamlett eternally rested. He is survived by his son, Daniel Webster Hamlett Jr., and three grandchildren, Dasani, Dev'eyon and Daniel Hamlett the 3rd. Three sisters Henrietta Hamlett Santos, Betty Hamlett-Jones, Loretta Bernard and Louise Staton eternally rested. Three brothers Linore and Herman Hamlett and Glasco Staton eternally rested. Nieces and Nephews, I'yanna Carson Bernard, Tasheen and Latrisha Salters, Sieda Hutchins, Casandra and Deloris Hamlett, Dominic Pacheco, Donald Wimbish Jr. James Salters, Hector Bernard Jr., Auden Carson Bernard and Linore Hamlett Jr. And an abundance of great nieces and nephews. Daniel was a dedicated father and mentor, always eager to pass on his trade skills to his nieces and nephews.

Daniel was a well know mechanic by trade which was his passion but he was also a welder, he graduated from Aviation Institute of Maintenance high school, Class of 2022. He had a passion for mechanics and spent his days working on engines and sharing his knowledge with others. In his free time, Daniel enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and playing basketball with friends. He was a devout Muslim who love life, family and friends.

Despite his untimely passing, Daniel will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
