Army Veteran stationed in Trieste, Italy during the
Korean War, was a self-employed farmer and a Zane Trace School bus driver only missing 2 days in 30 years. Dallas was a member of Laurel Hills UMC, Masonic Lodge (Kingston) over 60 years and Ross County Cattlemans Association. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda (Swepston) DeLong and by siblings Evelyn Diehl, Fred DeLong, Esther Karshner, Vivian Lockwood and Rose Gray. Dallas is survived by his children Brenda (Bill) Phillips, Linda (George "Larry") Lovensheimer, Dianne (Bill) Wetzel, Nelson DeLong and Andrew (Monica) DeLong, 7 grandchildren Ben (Wendy Faulkner) Congrove, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Phillips, Justin (Rhonda) DeLong, Greg Lovensheimer, Jennifer (Nathan) Jenkins, Sarah (Robert) Johnson, Jessica (Tom) Orr, by 6 great grandchildren Olivia, Morgan, Madison, Clarabelle, Levi and Maelee and by great, great grandson Cohen. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville with Pastor Brian Davis officiating. Burial will be in Green Summit Cemetery.
