Dallas C. ButlerDallas C. Butler, 81, passed away peacefully at his home on February 14, 2017 with family by his side.Please join us for his Memorial Services, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Bohlender Funeral Chapel at 121 W. Olive St. Full Military Honors will be rendered by the
U.S. Air Force. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the services at the
VFW, 803 Lesser Dr. with lunch provided. Interment, 12:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2017, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area A, Denver, CO. Dallas was born on November 2, 1935 in Humboldt, Iowa. He graduated from Humboldt High School in 1954. Airman Butler enter the Air Force and attended Supply School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Shortly after completion of Supply School he was transferred to Narsarssuak Air Base in Greenland. In the spring of 1957 he returned to the United States. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as Master Sergeant, with full honorable discharge in October of 1974. He went on to spend the next 20 years working in the defense industry.Dallas married his 5th grade sweetheart, Shirley Butler (formerly Jensen) on December 19, 1956. They had 3 daughters, Kim, Pam, and Angie.He has a been a lifelong member of the American Legion, VFW, The Moose and the Elks in many states over the years. He was a member of the 100 MPH Club in Daytona Beach, Florida in May of 1980. He received many awards over the years but his favorite one was probably his HOLE IN ONE at Williams Air Force Base in July 1992.Dallas was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Dallas Porter Butler and his wife, Shirley Jensen Butler. Dallas is survived by 2 daughters, Kim Hageman, Pam and her husband, Phil Chase, Angie and her husband, Tony Esposito; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Hageman, Angie Hageman, Casey Dark, Alyssa Esposito and Amanda Esposito and 4 great grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Chase and Layla.
