D. Corey Wildoner, age 39, of Laceyville, passed away early Sunday morning January 24, 2016 from injuries that he sustained in an automobile accident in which he was a passenger that occurred near South Montrose.Corey was born on December 10, 1976 at the Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri the son of Douglas Wildoner of Sweet Valley, and Cathy Wildoner of Meshoppen. He was a graduate with the class of 1995 from the Elk Lake High School.Corey was an employee of Baker Corp. (Springville) for over a year. Prior to that, he worked for Cargill in Wyalusing, for 17 years in the Quality Assurance Department.He volunteered at True Friends Animal Welfare Center in Montrose, where he also adopted his beloved dog Sydney. He loved both of his dogs, Sebastian and Sydney. His interests included football, basketball, gaming and movies. He loved comedy and was known for his funny antics and personality. He also immensely enjoyed family days and playing with his four nephews: Joseph, Eli, Kamden, and Alex. Corey is survived by his father, Douglas Wildoner of Sweet Valley; his mother and step-father, Cathy Wildoner and Ed Darling of Meshoppen; his sister, Vicki Robinson and her husband Tom of Meshoppen, and their children Eli and Alex. He is also survived by his brother, Jonathan Wildoner and his wife Tabitha of Meshoppen, and their children, Joseph and Kamden; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The funeral service for Corey will be held on Friday morning, January 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Sheldon Funeral Home, Main Street, Laceyville, with Lay Minister Vickie Ellis of the South Auburn and Beaver Meadows United Methodist Churches officiating.
