Cynthia Anne Harris, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, at the age of 86. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and service to others.
Born and raised in Minnesota, Cynthia moved to Ventura, California, where she spent most of her life. A dedicated nurse and volunteer, she touched the lives of many with her selfless care and unwavering commitment to improving the health and well-being of her community. Her career as a nurse was not just a profession, but a calling, and she approached each patient with the warmth and kindness that became her trademark.
Cynthia's family was the center of her life. She is survived by her son, Thomas, who was the pride of her life. Her two granddaughters, Jessica and Michelle, brought her endless joy, as did her great-granddaughter, Elliana, who was the light of her later years. Cynthia loved her family deeply and will be missed beyond measure by all who were fortunate to know her.
Her volunteer work was a reflection of her generous heart, and she spent countless hours helping those in need. She was known for her ability to make everyone around her feel heard and valued, offering a listening ear, a kind word, or a hand in times of trouble.
Cynthia was a woman of great strength, wisdom, and grace. Her life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and service to others. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her and her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of Cynthia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity or organization close to Cynthia’s heart, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, continuing her legacy of service and kindness.
Cynthia’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Cynthia.
