We are saddened to announce the passing of Cruz Johnson, who left this world on November 2, 2024, in Durango, Colorado. Born on July 27, 1938, Cruz was the beloved child of Candido and Mary (Eufemia) Miera.

Cruz was happily married to Charles (Chuck) Johnson for 60 years and together they raised five wonderful children: Charles Jr, Warren, Maurice, Rachel, and Mandy. They also had the joy of welcoming four grandchildren into their lives.

Cruz attended Durango High School before furthering her education at Hollywood Cosmetology School. She went on to have a successful career as a cosmetologist, bringing beauty to the lives of many.

Outside of work, Cruz had a passion for gardening and the Denver Broncos and could often be found tending to her beautiful flowers and plants with love and care.

Although Cruz will be deeply missed,she will always be remembered for her loving spirit, dedication to family, and knack for making people look and feel their best.

Rest in peace, Cruz Johnson. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

A memorial service will take place in Durango at Hood Mortuary on 11/16/2024 at 1:00 P.M.
