Cora Joyner, 93, of Neptune City, New Jersey, passed away on November 27, 2022 at Jersey Shore

Post Acute Nursing Home in Neptune, NJ.

She was born on April 24, 1929 in Louisburg, NC to John Walter and Daisy Johnson.

She met and married the late James A. Joyner and to this union four children were born.

She moved to New Jersey many years ago to settle in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Cora worked as a Domestic Worker all her life, working for families in the Shore Area.

After retiring she remained at home to enjoy life.

Cora enjoyed fishing with her family, driving, decorating, going to the boardwalk, travelling, cooking and nurturing her family.

Cora, accepted Christ at Faith Baptist Church in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

Cora was predeceased in death by her parents, six brothers James Johnson, Willie Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Glen Heart Johnson, Billie Johnson, Jerry Johnson, one sister Carolyn Johnson, her daughter Barbara A. Joyner along with her husband James A. Joyner.

She is survived by her two sons Joseph Johnson of Mass, James Joyner of New York, daughter Patricia Terrell of New Jersey and two sisters Mag Perry of New Jersey, Jodie Smullen of New Jersey and a host of relatives and friends.
