Clyda F. DavisZANESVILLE: Clyda F. Davis , 60 of Zanesville died at 3:35pm Thursday, November 07, 2013 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a courageous battle with COPD .She was born on October 28, 1953 in Zanesville, the daughter of Roger and Florence L. Reaves Johnston.Clyda was lovingly known as "Little Drill Sergeant", and was employed at Dr. Chris Brauning Dental Office since 1988. She was a past member of the Eagles #302 Ladies Auxillary, an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed flower gardening, working in the yard, the outdoors and generally staying busy. She had a love for helping people and animals and has been considered by many as a professional worrier. She was a loving mother and an awesome grandmother. She is survived by her fiancé, Gene Surratt; and his daughters, Lee Sa (Jason) Connor; and her children, Joseph, Caleb and Dylan; Laura (Jermell Chandler) Surratt; and her children, Xylir and Thaile'na; and Dani (Sean) Farrell and her son, Flynn; many special friends including, Ann and Jack Hardwick and Family, Lori Spradling and Richard Dillon; and her pet cocker spaniel "Bo Brady"Preceded in death in addition to her parents were a brother, John Edgar Johnston; and a sister, Nancy Chambers. Friends may call from 4 to 7pm on Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Bryan & Snider Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made to the Genesis Morrison House Hospice, the Muskingum County Animal Shelter or to the Rambo Health Clinic.
