FORT WAYNE — Clifford F. "Cliff" Setser, 83, of Fort Wayne passed away, Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was born on September 28, 1930, in Richmond, Indiana, to the late Calvin Monroe "Roe" and Thelma E. (Huckery) Setser. He was the owner and operator of Cliff Setser Motors. He was a member of Fort Wayne Racing Association, Star Racing Association, ASA, and ARCA as a chief steward official and was proud to have been inducted in to the Baerfield Raceways Hall of Fame in 2012. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, playing cards, and really anything that had wheels and went fast. Cliff was very proud of winning the prestigious Hoosier Super Stock 200 in 1966. Surviving family include his children, Carole (Mike) Kindler, Curtis (Vicki Lash) Setser, Calen (Maureen) Setser, and Cathie (Bill) Huston; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred (Meriam) Setser; and life partner, Linda Fay. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by a son, Clifford F. Setser Jr., and a great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, June 12, 2014, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior.
