In Loving Memory of
Cleavon McLoud
August 23, 1975 – February 20, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Cleavon McLoud, who departed this life on February 20, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on August 23, 1975, in Detroit, MI, Cleavon was a man full of life, laughter, and love.
Cleavon had a deep passion for music, especially rap, and took great joy in making people laugh. He also had a way with words, always ready with a clever saying or a phrase that could lift your spirits, make you think, or simply bring a smile to your face. In recent times, he found comfort in faith, praying almost daily with his sister Eunice, strengthening both their bond and his spirit.
Above all, Cleavon loved his family. He was a devoted father to his seven children and a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them. He also leaves behind his wife, Isha, who was a part of his journey through life. Cleavon deeply loved and cherished his mother, Sonya Drummond, and now rests in her embrace once again. One day, we will see them both again.
He is also survived by his father, Elmer Drummond, and his loving siblings, Maurine, Chevon, Eunice, Charles, and Thomas, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Though he is no longer physically with us, his spirit will forever remain in the music he created, the laughter he shared, and the words of wisdom he left behind. His memory will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7*
