Clara T. Bruno, age 87, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 29, 2016. The Rosary for Clara will be prayed at 4 p.m. followed by visitation from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 6415 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, MO 64119. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice. Clara was born on February 7, 1929 in Kansas City, MO, to Filippo and Herlinda Pernice. Clara was one of twelve siblings. She worked for the Kansas City Royals for over 25 years. Clara had a passion and creative flair for sewing. As a talented seamstress, she could create anything with fabric and an idea and no pattern was necessary. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 53 years, Anthony "Tony" Bruno; her grandson Anthony Vincent Bruno; brothers, Sam, Phil, Rudy, Tom, Manual and Jesse Pernice; and sisters, Virginia Andrews, Linda Belgiere, Rosie and Valencia Pernice. She is survived by her children, John and Dee Bruno, Rozann and Joe Brancato, Lynda Jo and Joe Sacco, and Nino Bruno and Mary Jo Spino; grandchildren, Mary Bruno and Austin Ballou, Stephanie Bruno, Catherine Bruno and fiance Joe Mingrone, Joseph and Michelle Brancato, Jolynne Brancato, Joey III and Sarah Sacco, Ashley and Brad Picard, Annamarie Sacco, Anthony Sacco and Maria LaCapra, Sammy Sacco, Julie, Anthony "Little Nino", Vinny and Briana Bruno; nine great-grandchildren; sister Beatrice LaSala; sisters-in- law, Marti, Rosetta and Nancy Pernice, Katherine Caronia, and Virginia Hogberg; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers: Joseph Brancato, Joey Sacco III, Anthony Sacco, Sammy Sacco, Anthony "Little Nino" Bruno, and Vinny Bruno. Honorary Pallbearers: Phillip Andrews, Phil Pernice, Sam Belgiere, Phillip John Pernice, Anthony Pernice, Sam LaSala, Joe Caronia and John Hogberg.
