God did one of His greatest when Clara Watkins, born on September 13, 1923, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late EJ and Izora Brown. She married the love of her life, Louie Watkins, in 1941 and together they raised five children: Colbert, Marvin (spouse Cecelia), Sylvia (spouse Bobby), Hazel, and Melvin (spouse Linda).

Clara was a beloved member of the community, graduating from Pike County High School in 1940. She dedicated her life to caring for her family as a homemaker and foster parent, retiring in 1998. Clara was also a dedicated member of her church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

In her free time, Clara enjoyed sewing, singing, and playing the piano. She was a faithful church member and always had a kind word for everyone she met. Clara's warm smile and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Clara is preceded in death by her loving husband Louie, she is survived by her five children, Colbert (Susan), Colvin of Pontiac MI., MaryAnne(Paul), Marvin(Cecelia) of Chicago IL., Linda (Bobby) of Troy AL., nine grandchildren. She passed away on July 14, 2024, after a brave battle with cancer. Continue to be in awe of The Father at His throne, dear Clara, you will always be remembered with love.
