Cindal Marie Bonnanfant Obituary

May 24, 1986 - May 12, 2020

This obituary is administered by:

A troubled soul herself, her heart was a place where other troubed souls found solace and shelter

Cindal passed away unexpectedly on May 12, 2020. She was born on May 24, 1986 in Digby, Nova Scotia. She lived most of her life in Yarmouth and the surrounding areas, and called her recent community of Carleton home.

Cindal was a caring daughter, a loving mother, a sister and a loyal friend.

For the past few years, she praised herself for continuing her education and becoming certified with honors in the field of Continuing Care. She was always glad and willing to help and serve others, and was proud of her work caring for the elderly. She had aspirations to further her career and education, and was working toward a diploma in the field of "Health Services Administration" through Dalhousie University.

Cindal was an artist and poet at heart, but rarely shared her work with others. She had a way with words, and could write beautiful songs and poetry. In high school, she travelled to Ottawa, where she took part in a Canadian National Youth Writing Competition, where she placed 3rd overall in her age group of over 1000 other participants. She also had many sketchbooks which were filled with artistic creations and visual representations of her deepest thoughts and feelings, but were rarely, if ever shared with others. After a shoulder injury imposed physical limitations to her regular summer hobbies, she took up learning Spray Paint Art. All self taught, through reading articles and watching tutorial videos, she was able to create amazing works of art with just a poster board and few cans of spray paint. A hobby she grew to love, spending a lot of her time in her painting shed, she prized herself in being able to create custom work for others through just a simple idea.

Her other hobbies and pass times included spending time and going on "adventures" with her daughter Aislynn. She loved being on or near the water, and was an avid sailor in her teenage years while in the Yarmouth Sea Cadets. She enjoyed swimming and loved to go kayaking on the lakes in the summertime. She loved riding her motorcycle, and going on hiking walks and trails.

She is survived by her 7 year old daughter Aislynn Bonnanfant, mother Holly Muise (Wood), her step-father Chester (John) Muise, her father and step-mother Paul and Shelley Bonnanfant, brother Dennis Bonnanfant, sister Christa Outhouse (Bonnanfant) as well as her nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

She was pre-deceased by all of her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her infant brother Alexander Wood.

Cindal would always laugh when someone would call her stubborn or hard-headed. She would never stand down against anyone who told her she couldn't do something, and would work hard to prove them wrong! She would always joke by saying, "Don't tell me what I can & can't do! I got pretty big balls, I just wear them on my chest!".

The loss of our daughter will forever be felt in the hearts of many who knew her. May her troubled soul finally be at peace.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral service or visitation.

For those wishing to donate, an education fund account for her daughter Aislynn will be arranged by family at a later date.

You can to the family or in memory of Cindal Bonnanfant.
