Christina Connolly of Eldersburg, Maryland passed away peacefully at her home on January 16, 2025, at the age of 54. She was born on April 27, 1970 in Baltimore. Christina graduated from Towson University in 1992, where she earned a degree in education. While working at her first school, Scotts Branch Elementary, she met and married her beloved spouse Randy on December 27,1996.
Over the course of her career, Christina was most proud of her time at Bedford Elementary as its principal, making a lasting impression on her students and staff. She appreciated the collaboration and teamwork displayed by her teachers, enjoying the random social get togethers at her house. During her last few years at Bedford, she worked tirelessly attending planning meetings, ordering supplies, and making sure that the new building would be a welcoming institution that fostered a community of respect and inspiration.
Together, Randy and Christina raised two wonderful sons, Ryan and Sean. Recently, she was able to attend a small ceremony at her home to witness the wedding of Ryan to his longtime girlfriend Sadie.
She is survived by her father Frank, brother Brian, sister-in-law Stacy, nieces Erin and Cassidy, brother-in-law Ken, nephew Declan and niece Kendel, uncle George, and Aunts Leisl and Linda. Christina is preceded in death by her mother Janet, grandparents Howard and Dorothy, as well as those
Despite facing numerous medical challenges, Christina always maintained a positive attitude and a sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around her. She will be remembered for her contagious laughter, warm smile, and unwavering love for her family.
Although she loved her Diet Coke, reading, spending time at the beach with family and friends, and enjoying the occasional glass of wine, she loved her boys(me included) even more.
Two events will honor Christina’s life:
A Celebration of Life at Pritts' Funeral Home in Westminster on February 2nd from 2-4 pm.
Funeral Mass and Reception at St. Johns Catholic Church in Westminster on February 3 from 11am-2pm.
