Mr. Chester Czyz, of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024. Born on July 6, 1931, to the late Maria Grokowski and Anthony Czyz, immigrants from Poland. Chester was very proud of his Polish heritage.

When Chester was a toddler he contacted scarlet fever which caused him to become hard of hearing and eventually profoundly Deaf.

On August 11, 1956 Chester was united in marriage to Norma Joyce Hubbard for 68 years. He is survived by daughters Lillian Cheri Orbke and husband Frederick William Orbke of Cortez, Colorado and Eliza

Dolly McNamara and husband John McNamara of Dry Ridge, KY, and his siblings Jeanette Rajca and husband Pastor Ronald Rajca of Chinle, AZ and Thomas Czyz and wife Wendy Czyz of Falmouth, ME. His 3 grandsons, John McNamara of Madison, MO, Phillip McNamara of Montgomery, IL, and Ian Orbke of Santa Fe, NM, along with great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Chester Czyz was a baker and foreman for 40 years with Silvercup Baking Company

and National Baking Company as well as being a self taught jack of all trades and did it all with excellence. Strong and dependable Chester served the Polish National Catholic Church for 30

years doing maintenance from caring for the grounds to maintaining the interior of the church. His interests included history, travel, playing cards, reading the newspaper, going to the Deaf Club and being an artist. He loved to draw and paint.

He was a gift to everyone who knew him. Friendship, laughter, fun and good times. Caring, loving and kindhearted. He will be dearly missed. His memory is our keepsake.
