Cheryl L. (Snyder) Scott, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her home in Clyde on August 24, 2025 at the age of 74. Born on September 4, 1950, in Port Clinton, Cheryl's life was marked by her generous spirit, her love for family, and a joy for life's simple pleasures that left a lasting impact on all those she encountered.
Marrying Jack Scott on September 9, 1972, Cheryl built a home filled with warmth and kindness. An alumnus of Port Clinton High School, Cheryl spent her professional life in various roles but found her calling as a devoted housekeeper. She took great pride in ensuring a welcoming and clean environment for those she served. Beyond her dedication to her work, Cheryl found community and camaraderie as a member of the Clyde Eagles. The joys of Cheryl's life were many, reflective of a woman who appreciated both the thrill of chance and the tender quiet of nature. She possessed an undeniable talent for BINGO. Visits to the casino were a favored pastime, infused with hope, anticipation, and often, celebration. Yet, it was perhaps in her garden, amidst the blooms and the buzzing bees, or by the lake with a fishing rod in hand, where Cheryl found her greatest peace.
Cheryl is survived by her husband; adopted son Luis Morales (Danny) his wife Carmen Morales daughter, Hollie Scott; grandchildren, Lillian Lovins and Devin Goble; great-grandchildren, Zadie and Nevy Goble; brothers, Wayne (Karen) and Leslie Snyder; brother-in-law, Zane (Sharon); sister-in-law, Janet (Ern); sister-in-law, Dorothy Scott; and a circle of cousins, and other loving relatives who will deeply miss her presence.
Cremation has taken place and a private burial service will be in Castalia Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements. Condolences may be shared online at toftfuneralhome.com.
