It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Chauncey Jones, who was born on June 12, 1985, and passed away on January 21, 2025, in Pike Road, Alabama, United States. He was the beloved son of Bernard Hood and Delores Jones, and the loving spouse of Lakisha Teague, whom he married in year 6. Chauncey leaves behind his two cherished children, Kanaja Jones and Malika Jones.

Chauncey attended Detroit Denby High School, where he graduated in 2003. He continued his education at Alabama State University, graduating in 2008. Chauncey pursued a career as a professional basketball player, and he retired in 2012.

Chauncey had a passion for playing basketball, working out, listening to music, writing poetry, and collecting sneakers. He was known for his dedication to his craft and his kindness towards others. Chauncey will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
