Charlotte C. Zuraw, age 90, of Oscoda and formerly of St. Clair Shores died on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on Feb. 13, 1923 in Owosso to the late John and Sophia Lehner (nee Beck). Charlotte grew up in Bay City and graduated from Central High School in 1940. She worked for several years as the director of purchasing in materials management at Cottage Hospital in Grosse Pointe Farms. Charlotte was very active in politics as well as several community organizations. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and Detroit Tiger baseball. Charlotte is survived by her son, John Zuraw of St. Clair Shores; sister, Catherine (Elbert) Dykes of Oscoda; and 10 nieces and nephews, Darla (Dale) Begley, Diane (Gary) Price, Dee (Phillip) Burch, Dale (Jenny) Dykes, Gayle (John) Christmas, Gary (Kathleen) Christmas, Glenn Christmas, Gene (Barri) Christmas, Greg Christmas and Gian (Todd) Christmas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Zuraw; daughter, Marie Zuraw; sisters, Dorothy Parker and Lillian Christmas; and nephew, Dan Dykes. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 5 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral at 3 p.m. at Buresh Funeral Home in Oscoda. Rev.
