LAGRANGE — Charles E." Ed" Sawyer, 45, of LaGrange, Ind., died Friday, January 31, 2014 in the Emergency Room at Parkview LaGrange Hospital. He was a 20-year employee and a CV Tech at Nishikawa Standard Company in Topeka, Ind., and a lifetime resident of LaGrange County. First and fore most in Ed's life was his Christian faith. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, and playing the bass guitar. Ed was born on July 6, 1968 in Kendallville, Ind., to Rev. William J. and Delores J. (Ritchie) Sawyer. Delores survives in LaGrange. On July 3, 1998 he married Vada Sparkman in South Milford, Ind. She survives in LaGrange. Also surviving are his four daughters and a son-in-law, Camryn and Ciara Sawyer of LaGrange, Heather Lovely of Indianapolis, Ind., and Bambi and Frank Pasztor of Kendallville; three grandchildren; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Naomi and Trinity Adamski of Orland, Ind., Regina Creech of LaGrange; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Chuck and Tina Sawyer of Howe, David Sawyer of LaGrange and Angie Sawyer of LaGrange. His father and a brother, Rodney L. Sawyer, preceded Ed in death. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at The South Milford Independent Church. The Rev. Earl Bolen and the Rev. Samuel Weimer will officiate. Burial will take place in Woodruff Cemetery, rural Wolcottville. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday February 5, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service. Memorials may be contributed to the South Milford Independent Church.
