Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017, at the funeral home.Charles Bloodworth died on Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at his home. He was born on July 12, 1952, in Bronte, Texas to Raymond and Gertrude (Landers) Bloodworth.He grew up in Silver, Texas, graduated from Robert Lee High School and was a member of the Silver Baptist Church. He was employed by Bass Oil Company for 41 years and retired in Feb. 2016.He is survived by one sister, Raynelle and Charles Askins of Dike, Texas; two brothers, Carl and Laveta Bloodworth of Sundown, Texas; Lonnie and JoAnn Bloodworth of Silver, Texas; his special life-long friend, Dena Boone Bloodworth; and many other family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Albert Wayne Bloodworth.Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home, Robert Lee, Texas.Online condolences may be made at shafferpioneer.com.
