Charles Adrian "Acy" Werner, 70, of Bardstown, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at his residence. He was born on Aug. 14, 1944, in Bardstown to the late Robert and Bereniece Mouser Werner. He was retired from the former Owens-Illinois Company, had worked for many years for the Haydon family at the former Keene's Depot and recently the Kentucky Gun Company and was a member of St. Joseph Church.Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Marty Werner; a half-sister, Viola Baird; a sister, Jean Bryan; a half-brother, Paul Werner, and brothers, James Robert Werner and Patrick Werner.Survivors include his wife, Judy Berry Werner; a daughter, Kim (Danny) McCann, of Bardstown; three grandsons, Gavin Hicks, Carson Hicks and Conner Hicks; a brother, Joseph Gerald Werner, of Bardstown; and a sister, Mary Isabelle Blair, of Bardstown.Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. The Rev. David Cockson will be the celebrant. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, with prayers at 6 p.m. and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
