Jimmy worked as a truck driver and a mechanic and taught at Bakersfield College and went there as well.

His 1st wife Emma and to this union his adoring children: Anthony, Carol, Dwayne, Charles of Los Angeles, Craig (Shonda) of Victorville, and Donny. His Mother Murielene Spratley, his brother Aubrey and sister Sharon (Randy) of Bakersfield. His 53 Grand-Kids and 23 Great Grands. He is proceeded in death by his father, Charles O. Spratley Sr.; his brothers, John Spratley (Sandra), James H. Spratley and his sister, Betty Griggs and his sons, Damien and Donald; and sister-in-law, Rita.

I would like to especially thank my brother-in-law, Randy, who Jimmy truly loved, cherished and trusted to the end. Also thank Brian, Tiffany, Alex and Pedro, The Memorial Hospital Staff, The Golden Valley Living Center and Hospice for all their help.

"Daddy”

I really miss you, daddy! I wasn’t ready to say goodbye. The night you took your last breath all I did was cry. You told me that you weren’t going to leave us. Now all I do is ask myself why? Now I’m sending my love to you in the heavens in the sky. I’m just proud to say that you are my daddy, the greatest man I have ever known. I will always hold you close to my heart because Daddy I will always love you….
