Frances Charlene MiracleHOPEWELL: Charlene Frances "Granny" Miracle, 93, of Hopewell, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Genesis Morrison House Hospice on Tuesday, January 14, 2014.Charlene Miracle was born on September 4, 1920, in Gratiot, Ohio, to Harold and Frances (Watts) Campbell. She shared her childhood with her brother, Wellman "Cammie" and her sister Barbara Ann (Coulson). She married Vernon Carl Miracle on December 31, 1942, and they had two children, Cheryl Ann (Schmidt) and Vernon Craig Miracle. Charlene lived an incredibly full life that included working retail at several shops in Lancaster, Ohio and finished up her working career at The Longaberger Company at the age of 87. She took pride in her work and was always the first one there in the morning to greet all of her co-workers. Since her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved her grandchildren's sporting events and achievements and attended every game and special event possible. Charlene was a member of Gratiot United Methodist Church, Brownsville Chapter #486, Order of Eastern Star, Zane Court #36 Amaranth, Rosa #8 White Shrine of Jerusalem and
VFW Post #1058.Charlene was preceded in death by her brother, Wellman Campbell, her parents, Harold and Frances Campbell, her husband, Vernon Miracle and her sister, Barbara Coulson. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann Schmidt of Hopewell, her grandson and his wife, Ryan and Staci Schmidt, and soon to be great grandchild of Nashport, her son and his wife, Craig and Meagan Miracle, and her grandchildren, Frannie and Campbell Miracle of Nashport. She will also be missed by her cherished nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Woody and Bo.Special thanks to Drs. Myer, Garg-Gupta and Bastola and their wonderful staff as well as to the very talented and compassionate staff of the Morrison House. Calling hours will be held at Gratiot United Methodist Church from 4-7pm, Thursday January 16th. The family requests memorials to the West Muskingum Academic Fund c/o 4880 West Pike, Zanesville, 43701. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gratiot United Methodist Church.
