Charlene Colburn Charlene Ann Colburn, 89, died peacefully in Tacoma, Washington on Sunday, December 4, 2016. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis (Jack) Myers, and her children and their spouses: Linda (Chuck) Youngquist, Ken (Sally) Colburn, Gary (Dana) Colburn, Dale (Rhonda) Colburn and Sharon (Jerry) Crawford of the greater Puget Sound Area. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Colburn, and daughter Janice (Jimmy) Jones. Charlene was born on November 6, 1927 in Guthrie, Illinois to Carl and Sadie Martens. She graduated from Pacific Lutheran College in 1949 with a B.A. in Business Administration, marrying Richard Colburn in July 1949. Charlene loved music, and sang in the PLC Choir of the West, and the Trinity Lutheran Church Choir. On Friday, December 9th from 4-8 pm a viewing will be held at Weeks' Dryer Mortuary in Parkland. The memorial service is Saturday, December 10th at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, adjacent to the PLU campus. Following the memorial, a reception will be hosted at Weeks' Dryer Mortuary. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charlene's life.
