Cathy Brown, 59, of Strong Ar., passed Sunday, September 30, 2018. Cathy was born to Don Brown, and Betty Brown, September 27, 1959, in Clarksdale, Mississippi, both whom predeceased.
Cathy graduated from Clarksdale High School in 1976 and received a degree from Phillips County Community College in 1985. She married Ray Black in 1993, and they lived together in Union County Arkansas. Cathy worked at RN, BSN until she retired in 2006.
She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, Cathy was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends, most especially over the holidays. For many years leading up to her passing, she made a wonderful home with her husband, enjoying raising all their multitude of pets and other animals. Cathy loved hunting season and taking care of her garden. She truly enjoyed the Holidays when her children and grandchildren would come home.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Ray, her daughter Nickie Kirby, wife Toni, and her three sons Kevin Agee, wife Amber, Tim Butler, wife Valerie, and Shaun Butler, wife Amy. Cathy was also survived by her brother Steve Brown of Southaven, Ms. Also survived by her 9 grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.
Cathy requested for an cremation and be spread around the hills of her home that she made with her husband. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days.
Memorial services only will be held for family and friends to pay their respects October 6, 2018, at Ebenezer Baptist off of Phelps close to her home.
