Catherine D. ZurickPort HuronCatherine D. Zurick, 87 of Port Huron, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born on August the 23, 1929 to Joseph and Marie Block in Minden City, Michigan.Catherine married Norman P. Zurick on April 28, 1951 in St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Ruth, Michigan they have been married for 65 years. Catherine and Norman were founding members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Huron.Catherine was a beautician for 30 years. She loved to dance, play cards, garden, bake and sew. She especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren.Catherine is survived by her husband, Norman; sons, Douglas (Teryl) of Asheville, NC, David (Jennifer) of Berea, KY, Steven (Janet) of Port Huron, Linda (Richard) Davis, of Clyde; grandchildren, Taylor Zurick, Matthew and Danielle Davis, Brett (Kristein) Nixon, Ezra Dorsey; great grandchild, Andrew Dorsey. She was preceded in death by brothers Carl, Eugene and Kenneth Block; and a sister, Roseline Gliniecki; and several nieces and nephews.A Mass of Resurrection will take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Church, visiting beginning at 10:30 a.m., visitation will also be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 2:00 till 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. in Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron.
