Catherine Anne McDonaldMy loving wife, best friend, and soulmate, Catherine Anne McDonald, passed away on October 29, 2016 of complications due to Multiple Sclerosis. She was 63. She was a wonderful friend and companion, and I will miss her with all my heart. She is at peace and with the Lord now. Catherine was born on October 29, 1953 in Davenport, Iowa to Keith and Gloria (Martindale) McLarnan. She graduated from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa, CA. She married Richard McDonald on January 8, 1977 in Reno, NV. She worked for 25 years as a secretary for the county of Sonoma, Santa Rosa, CA. Catherine loved taking care of her roses, and always had dogs, loving them all. She also loved all animals, big and small. She is survived by her husband, Richard McDonald, of Cottage Grove; mother, Gloria McLarnan; brother, Bill McLarnan of Missouri; and brother, Tom McLarnan. She had no children, her pets were her children.No service is planned. Donations in her name can be made to any animal rescue organization.
