Carolyn Lipscomb was a mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to many.
Carolyn was an outgoing, loving, hardworking, determined, funny, amazing person with a beautiful spirit who could fill the room with her presence. She touched many lives and left her mark on the world.
Carolyn Lipscomb passed away peacefully in her home on January 18, 2020 with family by her side.
Carolyn is survived by her only child, Mischaela Burroughs, two grandchildren, Kennedy Collins age 10 and Jamell Fields age 13. She also leaves behind 6 siblings Ulysess Lambert, Catherine Lipscomb-Holder, Quintine Lockhart, Lemon Lipscomb, Sheila Williams, and William Girard Lipscomb.
Carolyn Lipscomb was born on November 13, 1960 in Memphis, Tennessee to Nobeline Lambert and Otis Lipscomb.Carolyn Lipscomb graduated from Northside High school and also further attended University of Tennessee where she obtained her Associates degree in Accounting. After moving to Atlanta Ga. Carolyn began working for Emory Hospital as Night nurse, then further went on to Georgia Pacific as an Accountant for 15 years. She spent the rest of her years as a Procurement Specialist. Carolyn was a bright light and she will truly be missed.
A memorial is scheduled for February 20, 2020 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church with a reception to follow at Carolyn’s home in Douglasville, Ga. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Carolyn’s life. The family would like to thank New Birth Missionary Baptist church for their assistance and services in Celebrating Carolyn’s Home going.
