Kuhn, Carolyn A.Age 69, of Lowman, NY, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital. She was born on November 7, 1947 in Elmira, NY to the late Alexander and Mary (Kastenhuber) Ochab. She was predeceased by her brother, James "Tim" Ochab. Carolyn is survived by her husband, David Kuhn, whom she met 52 years ago as a pen pal when he was in the Marines stationed in Vietnam and they would have celebrated their 50th anniversary this year on May 27th. She is also survived by her children, Sharon Caporiccio of Horseheads, Gary (Julie) Kuhn of Lowman and Thomas Kuhn of Horseheads; sisters, Pauline (George) Deats of Horseheads and Patricia (Brian) Hanson of Owego; brothers, David (Carol) Ochab of Horseheads, Mark (Carol) Ochab of Horseheads and Fritz (Pat) Ochab of TX; grandchildren, Justin Caporiccio, Jacob Caporiccio and Sarah Caporiccio all of Horseheads, Jesse Hetrick, Kenly Kuhn and Megan Kuhn all of Lowman and Hannah Kuhn of SC; great grandchildren, Blake, Austin, Keyara and Lily; along with several nieces and nephews. Carolyn retired from LRC Thomas and Betts after many years of service. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, January 24th from 5 to 8 p.m. at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place there on Wednesday, January 25th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Russell officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
